GENERAL REVIEW

Patrick contacted R. L. Stevens after almost 12 months of retirement.  He couldn't take the time off and his wife was ready to get him out from under foot.  First we determined that an industry change at this season of his life probably would not be very productive.  However, we were able to determine that a shift in functional responsibilities would be realistic and so we developed a resume that targeted Quality Assurance.

The positive aspects of Patrick's search, in the midst of a tight market environment and a declining manufacturing arena, was his willingness and openness to relocate.  Our database provided the appropriate contacts from around the country and our relocation option, while not yet utilized, would become beneficial in the next year or so when his wife retires from teaching and joins him.  The commuting will come to an end at that point.
