GENERAL
REVIEW
Thomas decided to work with
R. L. Stevens to aid him in marketing himself to the
manufacturing sector. Thomas has been working with a
family owned company for a number of years. With the
turnover of ownership to the next in line, the corporate
philosophy changed. Thomas decided that it was time for
him to make a change as well.
Thomas had been
considering offers of running similar operations to the one he
currently managed at the VP level. However, as a result
of his focus session, Thomas realized that he was marketable
above the VP level. Consequently, his campaign targeted
CEO and President level positions. As soon as he began
implementing the campaign, he realized that his peers also saw
him as ready for the move up, his confidence was bolstered.
Just 10 weeks
into his job search, Thomas landed a significant interview for
the President's position in a company nearby city where Thomas
lived. He immediately contacted his consultant who
walked him through last minute interview preparation.
Just 2 days later an extraordinary offer was placed on the
table. Coordinating closely with his consultant at each
step, Thomas finally accepted a package that included:
complete medical/dental coverage; complete coverage of moving
expenses; 10% company ownership (with an option to buy as much
as 25%); annual bonus of 10% of gross profits; profit sharing;
generous company 401K plan; tuition reimbursement; and, most
of all the opportunity to step up to the Presidency of the
company. Thomas included,
"This is truly the opportunity of a lifetime! I can't
wait to get started."
